The desire to make this film stems from a need that is both taxonomic and immersive: both shoes (the representation of desire in an object that appears to be synonymous with identity), pornographic illustrations (jouissance), the figures and gestures of people close to us (liberating standstill? ) are destined for the gaze, admiration, love, and pleasure. The encounter and intertwining between their inventory in an apparently impersonal and/or observational way — and the intrinsic aura that each one carries—constitute the core of this film, a climax that fascinates me.
